Although Avenel doesn't have any motels, there are other forms of accommodation such as bed and breakfast and houses available for guests to book.

Avenel located right next to the Hume Freeway and has a variety of tourist attractions such as the movements of Ned Kelly and the Avenel cemetery being the resting placed of 'Red' Kelly, (Ned's father).

Whilst in Avenel, you may wish to explore the Avenel Market which occurs in the Jubilee Park of Avenel. There is an array of local produce in which individuals can support local famers and the community. The market occurs on the second Sunday of each Month, with the market commencing at 9am and closing at 1pm.

Food and wine are also quite popular within the region with many individuals often visiting Fowles Winery, where both food and local wine compliment very nicely.
